Come along to Sir George Monoux College at 7pm on Wednesday 29th April to find out about the ideas that E17’s General Election candidates have for key issues such as the NHS, housing and the environment.
Local members of 38 Degrees, the UK-wide campaigning organisation, are holding a ‘Walthamstow Question Time’ in which parliamentary candidates will be invited to answer questions submitted by the local community. The participating candidates are: Stella Creasy (Labour), Steven Cheung (Liberal Democrats), Michael Gold (Green Party), Nancy Taaffe (Trade Unionist & Socialist Coalition) and Paul Hillman (UK Independence Party).
Attendance is free, and all are welcome. You are encouraged to register your attendance via the Walthamstow Question Time Facebook page or Eventbrite, and submit questions on your priority topics through Facebook, or by commenting on the E17 Hustings Blog. Selected participants will be invited to ask their question to the candidates during the event.
38 Degrees is one of the UK’s biggest campaigning communities, in which members come together to decide which issues to campaign on. This event is being organised locally by Walthamstow residents, and is one of many 38 Degrees-affiliated events happening around the country in the run up to the General Election.
The main focus of the Walthamstow Question Time will be the questions asked by local residents. From existing polls, these are likely to include topics such as the NHS, climate change, and housing in Walthamstow.
