Tesco submit 3rd planning application

There’s an inevitability about the third application submitted by Tesco for the conversion of the former Essex Arms pub site into a four storey Express store/residential flats.

Last month BAG spoke to the council planning officer who refused Tesco’s second application. He expressed frustration at the companies failure to properly engage with the planning office and comply with the straightforward requests they’d made. He stated that the 14 reasons given for refusal could easily be overcome and a new application was expected “very shortly“.
