Forklift crash causes chaos

It’s the weekend, the Overground & Underground are closed for engineering work and half of Blackhorse Road is blocked to replace the Victorian water system.
People might think, oh well at least things can’t get any worse… but they’d be wrong.

On Saturday (8th August) a Forklift truck collided with a bus, flipped onto its side and crushed a tree next to a busy bus stop.
The driver was taken to hospital with minor head injuries but fortunately no one else was seriously injured. The crash did however completely block Blackhorse Road, meaning traffic including the buses plus rail replacement service couldn’t get through. All in all not a good day to be trying to get out of Blackhorse Road.

Richard & Gill live across the road from the station, and not for the first time they documented it all from their window. View their Flickr set of photos here.

The tree next to the bus stop didnt come out of it at all well!

The Village People fancy dress party was not a success. No-one came dressed as a Red Indian.
